Till We Fly Above The Moon

(For Grandpa Wells)

A day of sadness

A day of tears

A day we remember all the years

How you taught us about God,

His love, His grace

How you showed us His light,

by the shining smile on your face.

We love you grandpa.

We always will

With joyous memories,

out hearts will fill.

With our hope in God,

our eyes on Him,

we will rejoice

for a life well- lived.

Today, we say goodbye for now

knowing we will see you soon...

when it is finally our souls' turn

to fly so high,

Above the Moon.

The Critique

            They

                       Judge

                                    Us.

                        Critical whispers

                 smear my power,

              now between we & dream

Her anxiety?

                        Wild

                                 Panicked

                                                    Loud!

A dark time

                      For her

                      (vomit, dread)

Her results?

                     a sweet symphony

                     enormous Joy

                     Embrace & Celebrate

          Delicious eruption

                     Dizzy fun

         Every moment remembered

                    like a love song.

                                   this girl

                                   now smiling

                                   She is me.

When The Sun Shines Forever

(For Grandpa Cutler)

The sun is shining on this hard day

You would have liked it that way

The feelings are heavy on this sunny day

You would have made us laugh with what you'd say

I love you more than I thought I could

I miss you like I thought I would

I never thought it would be this hard

to let down my outer guard.

I promise to keep washing my ears

I thank you for all my years

Every single lesson I learned

Every single memory I earned.

I love you so much

I know you loved me just as such

Goodbye for now, Grandpa.

I'll see you when the Sun Shines Forever.

A Room Full of Dreams

In a room full of dreams,

I'm not alone it seems.

In a room full of memories,

I can feel my regrets.

In a room full of secrets,

I can feel my weakness.

I can feel who I was

and who I wanted to be.

In a room full of dreams,

I can feel her hope.

In a room full of memories,

I can feel her mistakes.

In a room full of secrets,

I can feel her fears.

I can feel that little girl.

and she's proud of me.

I'm not alone it seems,

In this room full of Dreams.
